AZMTH
LEADERSHIP TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
Train leaders for the responsibility their role carries.
Created for leaders at mission driven organizations. Built on a proprietary framework: Operate, Navigate, & Communicate — a three-part approach to leadership developed from military aviation and refined through doctoral research.
Founded by Michael Harms — a soon-to-be retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4, AH-64 Apache pilot, and Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Leadership.
THE PRINCIPAL
Built by an operator, not
a career coach.
AZMTH is the work of Michael Harms — a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4, AH-64 Apache pilot, and Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Leadership. Two decades operating in environments where decisions had real consequences. A practitioner of how leaders make those decisions when the stakes are real.
Every engagement is grounded in the proprietary Operate–Navigate–Communicate framework — leadership architecture forged in aviation, refined through doctoral research, and proven with senior leaders at defense contractors, Alaska Native Corporations, and mission-driven organizations where the cost of poor leadership shows up as more than one bad quarter.

AZMTH is deliberately small. I measure results, not testimonials. And I do not take every client.

FOR HR & L&D LEADERS
Answers to the questions first asked.
01
What size organization is the Navigate Cohort designed for?
The public cohort is designed for VPs, Directors, and program leaders whose organizations have between 200 and 20,000 employees. Below 200, the leader is often still hands-on; above 20,000, the cohort typically becomes a private engagement customized for one organization’s bench. Both formats use the same underlying framework.
02
How does this integrate with our existing leadership development program?
Cleanly. The cohort is designed to be additive — it complements internal programs, executive education partnerships, and coaching pools. In most engagements, AZMTH becomes the intensive twelve-week component that internal programs cannot deliver at scale: cohort peer learning across organizations, integrated 360-degree assessment, and individual coaching from a doctoral-level practitioner.
03
Can this be delivered as a private cohort for our organziation?
Yes. Private cohorts run when an organization sponsors 6–8 leaders from within its own ranks. The framework is identical; the
peer group is bounded to the organization. Private cohorts typically integrate a customized 360-degree instrument aligned to
the client’s existing competency model.
04
What's the investment?
Investment is confirmed at the application stage and varies by cohort composition (public vs. private) and level of organizational sponsorship.A capabilities statement with the current tier structure is available on request. Discovery calls are complimentary.
